Personal data
The provisions of Article 6.III of Law 2004-575 of June 21, 2004 are applicable. In accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679) and Article 32 of the amended Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978, the Site Publisher, Pierre Mayer, informs you of the following:
- Who is protecting: Pierre Mayer
- What is protected: the entirety of your personal data. As part of his activities as an arbitrator, Pierre Mayer may collect personal data directly or indirectly and process them for the needs of his functions. Specifically, in the context of his arbitration activities, Pierre Mayer may collect personal data through (i) documents voluntarily submitted to the proceedings by the parties, (ii) documents communicated pursuant to an order of the arbitral tribunal, and (iii) exchanges with the parties and any other arbitrators. Pierre Mayer is also likely to process the personal data collected directly and indirectly in the context of a case to draft (i) procedural orders and/or (ii) correspondences to the parties, to the arbitrators, to arbitration institutions, and/or arbitral awards. This processing is inherent to the arbitration procedure, and all participants in the procedure (parties, lawyers, witnesses, arbitrators, staff of an arbitration institution, etc.) are informed and consent to it. At the conclusion of an arbitration procedure, Professor Mayer only archives a copy of the arbitral award(s). Other elements of the file (including correspondence and documents) are destroyed within a few months following the conclusion of the case, taking into account the logistical constraints of the destruction process. By providing your personal data to Pierre Mayer in the context of a case, you consent to their processing within this framework. You have the right to access, restrict, rectify, or delete your personal data by contacting Pierre Mayer. You have the ability to lodge a complaint with the CNIL if you consider that your data has not been protected.
- Purpose: For the protection of your privacy, in the context of processing your case, whether it is a legal, judicial, or arbitration case.
- Where: at the office of Monsieur le Professeur Pierre Mayer.
- When and for how long: your data is processed and retained for the shortest possible duration, from your initial contact, including for the simple establishment of a quote or during a meeting. They will only be retained for the duration necessary for the processing of the case, subject to the logistical constraints related to their destruction.
- How: in appropriate premises.
